Cooper arrived in New York City in 1904, and began a long career as a freelance designer and illustrator. His work with New York Edison (later called ConEd) and created hundreds of posters, advertising, and ad calendars. He also worked graphically for Westinghouse, the US War Department, illustrated many books and articles and designed typography fonts or alphabets. FG was also a founding member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).

This is a wonderful small 7 x 11 inch piece from our own personal collection, have had it for years. It features an early patriot with an antique fan blowing cool air in his face, for NY Edison. The color is a deep orange, printed on old creme paper, a very pleasing graphic effect. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one and have never seen it before.

Size: 7 x 11 inches
