NOTE: This is a stunning city scene depicting the architecture of Denmark.
The stunning architectural church depicted is Our Saviours Church, located in the
Christianshavn area, has a unique spire which is a circular staircase on the outside.
It still offers an amazing view of downtown Copenhagen. The historical church was
finished in 1696, without the spire, with the spire was added in 1740. this poster is
stunning in its color and design with rich oranges, greens, brown, black, mustards,
greys and cream colors. The Church of Our Saviour (Danish: Vor Frelsers Kirke) is a
church in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is characterized by its black and golden spire and
the numerous church bells, which can play melodies. The church is mentioned in Jules Verne's
Journey to the Centre of the Earth. A wonderful antique Danish poster in exquisite condition.

NOTE: This is a wonderful Amercian historical piece of the New Deal WPA (Works Project Administration) era.
Created by the National Industrial Recovery Act on June 16, 1933, the Public Works Administration (PWA)
budgeted several billion dollars to be spent on the construction of public works as a means of providing
employment, stabilizing purchasing power, improving public welfare, and contributing to a revival of American
industry. When FDR moved industry toward war production and abandoned his opposition to deficit spending,
the PWA became irrelevant and was abolished in June 1941. This poster is an illustrative look at many
of the works completed by the PWA. The detail of this fine art work may be difficult to see in the digital
photo however it is a very fine and interesting historical piece. The illustrations exemplify Waterway
development, Conservation, Bridges, Housing developement, Flood control, Hospitals, Health, Schools,
Museums, Defense, Power, Transportaion and many more projects.

Levis, Murray, Brebeuf, Champlain, Cartier, Frontenac, & Wolfe. The Hotel Chateau de Frontenac is illustrated.
Included are many historical notes such as " Canada defeating Montgomery at the Pres. Deville Barricade
on the lst day of 1775, Carlton commanding at Quebec". The Citidel building is illustrated. The St. Lawence
river has a note near it addressing the fist steamship to cross the Atlantic which was lauched in Quebec in 1833.
Would be a creative gift for any history buff or is attractive for all those who love maps, Quebec or Canada.

color in the top photograph. The photographs are hand tinted in pinks and baby blues.

The Tarn Gorges are located in the south of France Region. The Tarn river rises in the high Cévennes and
flows about 200 miles west to join the River Garonne near Montauban. The Causses region is a Mediterranean landscape,
overlooked by the Massif de l'Aigoual (highest peak). This is an artistic expressionist painting printed for this
travel poster of the Tarn Gorges region, done by painter G. Rohner in 1955. The printing is rich lithography
